After watching a few “night movies” yesterday, Kate and I decided to pick up a “day” movie. I haven’t seen it in a while and I really forgot how colorful and and cute The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou was. A lot of people like to criticize director Wes Anderson’s deadpan, non-reacting characters as trying too hard to not try. However, I find the style quite enjoyable. It gives his movies that certain Anderson charm. Bill Murray is absolutely perfect for Anderson’s movies; I love that they seem to always work together. The movie seems to be shot entirely in the Mediterranean giving it a laid back, lazy feeling that makes me miss summer. -Brian by far one of the cutest movies ever. its a sophisticated and more attractive “i heart huckabees”. -kate
